
We get many calls during the course of the day and many times answer the same question/s over and over. Hopefully by placing some of these questions here will not only help you when you call the radio station but also help us better serve you, the listener.
QUESTION: Do you have a "tell and sell" or "swap n shop" program?
ANSWER: Yes we do and its called "Trading Time". It is presented twice a day Monday thru Friday at 6:30am and then again at 11:50am. You can call your Trading Time items in anytime during the day or you can use our convienent online form to accomplish the same thing.
QUESTION:Can we call in a song request?
ANSWER: You bet you can. Our call in line is 828-287-3356. We will play your song request as soon as humanly possible. We maintain an active playlist of over 500 songs. SOMETIMES, your requests are for songs that are not on our current playlist and it may take us sometime to locate it and get it played for you. But rest assured that as soon as we locate it, it will be played.
QUESTION: What kind of music do you play?
ANSWER: Well there is the technical answer then there is the simple answer. Technical answer is that its called a "JACK FORMAT". No that has nothing to do with Jack Buttram. The simple answer is that our format is a blend of the current Top 30 Country Hits, Recurrent Country Hits going back to 1991, Country Oldies of the 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. PLUS, we add in those familiar Rock Tunes of the 1950s, 60s, 70s and early 80s. We began this blend in January 2006 and since then we have had rave reviews about our music.
QUESTION: When is your Obituaries?
ANSWER: The daily obituaries are presented twice a day, sometimes three times a day. If there is a brand new obit that comes in, Jim will present at the beginning of the 7am "call around" hour. Other times they are presented at 11:30am and then again just after the 5pm hour during the afternoon "call around".
